UPDATE: Search Update + Advanced Search - VGCollect.com Forum - Video Game Database and Collection Management System

Hello all,

I just pushed out a long overdue update to our search system that should really improve your results. This is the first in a batch of search overhauls I have planned but lays down the foundation for future results. Here are the changes:

Updated results page. The old results page would list your entire result set. This is now limited to 50 results per page, in alpha order. Multiple pages of results will be listed at the top for navigation.
Added a new Advanced Search page. Right now the only filter is platform but this will really help you narrow down your results. I will eventually be adding filters for pub, dev, etc.

Works beautifully, this is a feature I've really been looking forwards too.

Right now only forum users will have access to this, perhaps a little advanced search button next to the search field? :)

Awesome! I see the link to the advanced search through the results page.

I would love to be able to search for all titles by a particular developer or publisher without having to track down a game published by them and then clicking on the link. I guess same goes for genres and such eventually. Not sure if it'd be possible currently if the search string requires 3 characters.
