Microsoft Patents Map A Path For AI And Ads In Xbox Games https://share.google/s1O2I8H8tQAgzWyKm

I know your initial thought is how? Because mobile and PC games have been popping Ads up for decades. But this patent is even more sick in the head than that.  Microsoft has developed an entire model to adaptively learn the best opportunities to place Ads to profit off your downtime in actual play. Not to mention this service is mostly being targeted towards "free to play" application and can even blanket over 3rd party developed games without the need for those companies to implement it in their code.  For example. COD War zone and Halo Infinite and other gameplay games that you already pay a subscription fee to access, and most likely micro transactions within to have fun. But now these games will be roped into free to play targets. And you will get "ad credits" which give you a time lot where you will be allowed to play the game in peace again. So stock up on freedom by eating our AI served marketing.

Key Facts

1. The Game Engine Hint (Developer Setup): Developers can tag specific, natural transition boundaries within a game’s code. For example, the moment the screen fades to black after you defeat a major boss, finish a quest, or trigger an end-of-chapter sequence, the game tells the console it is "safe" to show an ad.

2. When your "ad-free credit" is running low (usually within the last 10% to 20% of your time allotment), an on-screen notice and countdown will appear. You can either choose the exact moment to voluntary pause and watch the ad, or even "bank" extra credits by watching multiple ads in a row before a heavy gaming session. [Supposidly]

3. Yes, this system is explicitly targeted for both Xbox console games and PC gaming. The technology is designed to operate at the system or operating system (OS) level, meaning it could be baked directly into the Xbox ecosystem rather than relying on individual developers to build ad tech into every single game.

I guess the only benefit of this is since they've patented it. Sony and Nintendo cant even ponder doing some sick dystopia shit like this!

I am all done with next gen truthfully.  And I know many here are. I won't tell anyone how to spend their money but imo there is a line in the sand that all gamers should be drawing right about now.  I always see posts of blockbuster and game crazy kiosks and physical vhs tapes and happiness.  With the caption

They took this from us

Who?  Who took it?  It was the masses that decided saving 2 bucks and a car ride was worth not going to K Mart and Toys R US anymore. So little Billy got everything off Amazon. It was my locals saying "F black Friday. Im gonna do cyber Monday"  it was the gamers who skewed 80 percent of sales towards digital and brag about steam collections. It was every single one of us myself included who binged netflix weekly while never slicing a blu ray open or going to a redbox since 2008.  Who stole it?  Companies will always do whats profitable.  And frankly. The crowns gotta topple countrywide.  We got more greed from Companies with 200x ROI versus Mom and Pops who barely make food money.   But it can be reversed

. It was the wallets that made vinyl come back.  Millions of hipsters saying "they this was cool. We miss this"

We need everyone to simply say. We dont like this (retractable money) and we like this (pay money) and the companies will bend the knee.  But I don't think its happening sadly.

I will not only never buy a home console again including switch 2. I'm gonna start canceling subscriptions.  My PS Premium noise is already gone.

AI ad algorithm on console games incoming, the death of all discs, and the KIDDS act about to make it so AI can study your information, location, personal details and also remove your freedom to consume media without doing so?

This is gamepocalypse friends.  2026 marks the beginning of the fall.
